Shunsuke Michieda film promotions and Busan festival events

Overview

Actor Shunsuke Michieda has participated in several promotional events for his film projects. In mid-September, Michieda attended a Tokyo event for the Prime Video film ‘M.I.S.S.I.O.N. Kageki na Sennyu Sosakan’, where he discussed his role and the performances of his co-stars.

In early October, Michieda made his first appearance at an overseas film festival, attending the opening ceremony red carpet of the 31st Busan International Film Festival in South Korea. Alongside Seira Anzai and director Kentaro Takemura, he promoted the film ‘Uruwashi no Yoi no Tsuki’, a live-action adaptation of a manga by Mika Yamamori. Michieda noted that the “overwhelming live cheers made it feel like it passed in a flash, but I had a lot of fun.”

However, the festival also saw instances of disorder. During a promotional event for the film, Michieda and Anzai were surrounded by a massive crowd as they attempted to leave the venue. The intense crowding reportedly caused distress to Anzai, who was seen crying and visibly shaken. In response, Michieda reportedly made gestures to clear a path and was heard shouting, “Make way!”

Additional conflicts were reported during a paid screening, where attendees clashed over front-row seating. Observers have criticized festival organizers for inadequate security measures to ensure the safe movement of performers through the venue.
