South American cacao and agribusiness development

Overview

South American cacao and agricultural sectors are seeing increased commercial activity and development through international trade and regional feasibility studies.

In Peru, international trade initiatives such as Expo Perú Los Andes and the International Cocoa and Chocolate Salon 2026 have facilitated significant business connections. These events linked Peruvian companies with international buyers from markets including Germany, the United States, Canada, South Korea, Japan, and Italy, generating millions of dollars in commercial opportunities for textiles and agro-industrial products, specifically cocoa beans and derivatives.
