SWI Group digital infrastructure strategic pivot

Overview

SWI Capital Holding Ltd (SWI Group) has announced a strategic pivot to prioritize digital infrastructure, specifically targeting data centers and AI infrastructure. The company is allocating over 80% of its capital to a transatlantic digital infrastructure platform with a capacity exceeding 4 GW, with intentions to increase this to 90%.

As part of this transition, and with Morgan Stanley & Co LLC acting as financial advisor, SWI Group acquired a controlling stake of more than 70% in Genesis Digital Assets (GDA), which will be rebranded as SWI Digital to serve as the group’s US-focused platform. Under the leadership of co-founders Max-Hervé George and Jaume Sabater, the group intends to move up the value chain from land and power ownership into AI compute, including high-performance computing (HPC), GPU-as-a-service, and a proprietary AI-cloud platform.

To support its goal of becoming a vertically integrated global AI player, SWI Group has joined the NVIDIA Cloud Partner (NCP) program as a Preferred Partner. This partnership enables the deployment of NVIDIA-accelerated computing infrastructure for workloads such as model training and inference across its global portfolio. SWI Group currently manages 3.6 gigawatts of power capacity across Europe and the United States, including the 1.3 gigawatt SWI Digital entity and the AiOnX portfolio, which spans 2.3 gigawatts across Ireland, the UK, Spain, Denmark, and Italy.
