Terrorism and murder charges against Joshua Kerry

Investigators allege that Kerry traveled to Farage’s residence in April 2025, where they discovered damage to the front door and a bottle of lighter fluid in the porch, suggesting an attempted entry or attack. This follows the reopening of a counter-terrorism probe into a previous incident at the residence.

Kerry is also the primary suspect in the murder of 78-year-old Ann Widdecombe, who was found dead in her Devon home in July after being struck multiple times with a hammer. Legal proceedings have linked the alleged terror plot to the same individual accused of the fatal attack on the veteran politician. Reform UK officials have stated that the murder highlights the urgent need for enhanced security for political figures. A trial for both charges has been scheduled for June 8, 2026.
