Adding to the labor tension, the Mayor of Tierra del Fuego, Vuoto, issued an open letter to the company Mirgor. He urged the firm to reinstate dismissed workers and union representatives, arguing that companies benefiting from the industrial promotion regime have a responsibility to the community. Vuoto emphasized that Mirgor’s growth was made possible through these incentives and called for good-faith dialogue to resolve the ongoing conflict.
