TİGEM Arabian racehorse foal auctions

Overview

The General Directorate of Agricultural Enterprises (TİGEM) has conducted and announced successive auctions for purebred Arabian racehorse foals in Turkey.

In August 2026, an auction held in the Karacabey district of Bursa generated 27.55 million lira. Of the 34 foals offered from the Anadolu and Sultansuyu agricultural enterprises, 30 were sold, with an average price of approximately 918,000 lira. The highest individual sale was a foal named ‘Bilge Çınar’, which sold for 3.6 million lira.

Following this, TİGEM announced a new auction for 15 male purebred elite Arabian racehorse foals from the Sultansuyu Agricultural Enterprise Directorate. Scheduled for September 22, 2026, at the Veliefendi Racecourse in Istanbul, the sale will employ a hybrid model featuring both physical and online participation through the E-Tay Sales Platform.
