Initial reports highlighted dangerous driving in Perpignan, where five officers were injured after a driver struck police vehicles and fled on foot. Other incidents included a Ferrari traveling at 190 km/h in Haute-Marne, a driver in Yonne using nitrous oxide, and a new driver in Jura caught speeding at 163 km/h.

Recent enforcement operations have continued to yield major infractions. During the August 15 weekend in Haute-Vienne, gendarmes recorded 42 infractions, including 29 speeding cases. One notable offense involved a motorcyclist traveling at 199 km/h in a 90 km/h zone on the D979, which resulted in the seizure of the vehicle. In the Rhône department, patrols near Lyon Saint-Exupéry Airport identified approximately 15 vehicles exceeding speed limits by more than 30 km/h, including an SUV clocked at 188 km/h in a 90 km/h zone.

Further incidents were recorded in the Orne region, where a 23-year-old driver on a probationary license was caught traveling at 166 km/h in a 100 km/h zone and subsequently tested positive for cannabis. In the Meuse department, a driver was intercepted traveling at 171 km/h on a road limited to 110 km/h. These violations have resulted in license suspensions, vehicle impoundments, and potential prison sentences.
