Transfer interest in Felix Nmecha

Overview

Borussia Dortmund midfielder Felix Nmecha remains a high-profile target for several Premier League clubs. Following impressive Bundesliga performances and his participation in the 2026 World Cup, interest has intensified from Manchester City, Liverpool, Chelsea, and Tottenham Hotspur. Manchester United has also reportedly established contact to explore options ahead of the winter transfer window.

Liverpool has progressed its interest by holding preliminary talks with representatives of the German international to gauge interest in a potential transfer. While the club has made contact, no formal offer is currently being prepared. This move aligns with Liverpool’s long-term plans to restructure its midfield toward 2027. Liverpool has intensified contact with Nmecha’s representatives to position themselves for a future move, viewing the 26-year-old as a strategic alternative to targets such as Alex Scott or Lamine Camara.

Manchester United is reportedly considering a winter approach to address squad needs. Recent scouting reports indicate that United scouts were present at a Borussia Dortmund match against Bayern Munich to monitor Nmecha, alongside other targets including Serhou Guirassy, Jobe Bellingham, and Daniel Svensson. While Nmecha is reportedly valued at approximately €100 million in January, an €80 million release clause may become active next summer.

Manchester City maintains a historical connection to the player, who spent over a decade in their youth academy. Dortmund views Nmecha as a key component of their long-term plans, with his contract running until 2030.
