Additionally, public sector employees who began working after October 1, 2008, face specific challenges under Law No. 5510, where failing to complete 9,000 premium days by 2036 could result in retirement ages rising up to 65.

EMADDER President Mihriban Uğurlu recently met with the Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Security, Ahmet Aydın, noting that while the AK Party headquarters and the Ministry of Labor have become “more open to discussions,” no concrete working models or official schedules have been presented to the association yet.
