Overview

Recent elections for regional chambers of commerce in Turkey have resulted in the re-election of existing leadership in Denizli and Kahramanmaraş, alongside several other regional updates.

In Denizli, Uğur Erdoğan retained his position as President of the Denizli Chamber of Commerce. His ‘blue list’ secured 21 out of 30 professional committees, while the ‘white list’ led by Faik Müftüler won 9. Erdoğan noted that “there is no loser in this election, the winner is Denizli.”

In Kahramanmaraş, Mustafa Buluntu has been re-elected as the Chairman of the Kahramanmaraş Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KMTSO) during the organization’s 100th-anniversary elections. Buluntu’s team achieved a 100% success rate, winning all 29 professional committees. Following the results, Buluntu stated that unified support provides a foundation for economic recovery and industrial transformation following the February 6 earthquakes, focusing on business growth and new investments.

The process saw a 46% increase in voter participation compared to 2022, with nearly 58.8% of eligible voters participating. The 124-seat assembly underwent restructuring, with approximately 56 seats filled by new members representing 49 professional groups.
