Legislative and physical restrictions continue to mount. The Israeli Knesset passed legislation prohibiting UNRWA from operating in Israeli territory and East Jerusalem. In the West Bank, Roland Friedrich, UNRWA Director for the West Bank, reported that more than 3,000 Palestinians have been forcibly removed from their homes in Hebron following a large-scale operation and lockdown. Friedrich warned that such actions constitute “collective punishment” and mirror previous displacement waves in northern West Bank camps, where over 34,000 people remain unable to return home.
