Urban park development in Meram Municipality

Meram Municipality in Konya has launched an extensive urban green space initiative for 2026. Progress continues on Havzan Park, a 15,000-square-meter social and green space situated at the intersection of Gazze, Şehir, and Eski Yol streets. The project aims to transform an underutilized area into a modern living space featuring a 600-meter walking track, basketball and table tennis courts, fitness areas, and parking facilities. A coffee-concept venue, ‘Haki Kafe’, will also be part of the site. To establish a forest-like environment, 830 trees and over 2,000 shrubs and plants have already been planted.

Mayor Mustafa Kavuş stated that the project is intended to complement the Konya Metropolitan Municipality’s upcoming large-scale park project in the nearby ‘Ağır Bakım’ area, which is expected to feature large ponds and dining facilities.
