REFRES Strategic Workshop begins in San Juan

San Juan has commenced the first REFRES Strategic Workshop, ‘Redesigning the Future of Waste’. Organized by CONICET, the National University of San Juan, and the Faculty of Engineering, the event aims to transform territorial waste challenges into implementable projects and sustainable solutions.

This initiative follows previous efforts by Undersecretary of Urban Solid Waste Santiago Ceballos to utilize new technologies for intelligent waste classification. The workshop addresses environmental challenges stemming from the province’s rapid economic development, including projected population growth from mining projects, tourism, and agro-industrial expansion.
