In mid-September 2026, Oshin Malatang opened a new location in Kawagoe City, Saitama Prefecture, offering customizable ingredients and various soup bases. Concurrently, the Fuuen Malatang brand announced its first expansion into Kagawa Prefecture, with a scheduled opening at Aeon Mall Takamatsu on September 30, 2026. Recent openings include the Harbin-originated brand Yang Guo Fu Malatang in Tachikawa, Tokyo, near the north exit of Tachikawa Station. This location features 63 seats and takeout options. In Kobe, Xiao Nazha Malatang held its grand opening in the Otsuwa area of Nishi Ward on September 28. To celebrate, the restaurant is offering a free drink with orders exceeding 1,500 yen through November 22.
