Adva Lavie burglary and theft case update

Overview

In late July 2026, Los Angeles model and influencer Adva Lavie (online as “Mia Ventura”) was arrested a second time after violating a court order that required her to wear an ankle monitor while awaiting trial on six felony counts related to alleged dating‑app burglaries. Prosecutors say she used dating apps from 2023‑2025 to befriend wealthy older men and younger women in affluent Los Angeles neighborhoods and then entered their homes to steal cash, gold and designer goods.

On July 30 she was taken into custody in Beverly Hills, and a judge revoked her release, ordering her held without bail and scheduling a bail‑review hearing. The next day she was again detained after cutting off the ankle monitor; a bail‑review was set for July 31 at the Van Nuys courthouse. Authorities added a seventh felony theft charge in Riverside County, citing stolen items from the 2025 Coachella festival—a Rolex watch, Louis Vuitton sunglasses and a cardholder—valued at over $11,000. The case now spans two counties with seven felony counts and alleged victims in Nevada, Florida, France and Italy.

As of late August 2026, criminal proceedings against Lavie have been suspended after her defense attorney raised doubts regarding her mental competency. This follows a court decision that denied Lavie’s request for a mental health diversion program, leaving her held without bond. The case remains linked to Lavie’s former fiancé, billionaire Stephen Cloobeck, who was arrested in May on felony charges for allegedly attempting to dissuade witnesses from testifying in Lavie’s criminal case.

Lavie, a former IDF soldier, faces a potential prison sentence of up to 11 years. During legal proceedings, she has maintained her innocence and requested deportation to Israel, stating, “Just deport me back to Israel,” while alleging she has been subjected to physical abuse and mistreatment in American custody.
