By September 2026, Amazon began ending its ten-year presence at Malpensa Airport's Terminal 2 to transfer flight-related activities to Brescia Montichiari Airport. This transition affects nearly 200 employees managed by the contractor Mle.

During this period, the union Cub Trasporti criticized the working conditions maintained during Amazon's tenure at Malpensa. The union alleged a model dominated by precarious employment, claiming that approximately 80% of the workforce at the Terminal 2 warehouse consisted of temporary or seasonal contracts. Cub Trasporti argued that despite the sector's growth, the work was characterized by high turnover, part-time shifts, and on-call contracts, noting that many workers were never offered permanent positions.
