In the women’s 100m hurdles, Masai Russell also achieved a historic performance by breaking the world record with a time of 12.09 seconds, improving upon the 2022 mark of 12.12 seconds held by Tobi Amusan. Russell attributed her success to the “electric atmosphere and the momentum from Dos Santos’s performance.” Both dos Santos and Russell earned a world record prize of $80,000 for their achievements. Additionally, Audrey Werro recorded a Diamond League record in the 800m with a time of 1:53.70.
