Efficiency in meter deployment has improved, with the average installation time for code electricity meters decreasing by 60%, from 50 days to 20 days.

Service quality metrics have also trended upward. The average outage duration per subscriber dropped to 103 minutes in the 2025/2026 fiscal year, down from 147 minutes in 2021/2022. By the end of the 2025/2026 fiscal year, the total number of electricity subscribers reached approximately 45.4 million, with a nearly equal split between prepaid and standard meters. The Ministry continues to discuss regulatory frameworks for the gradual liberalization of the electricity market, focusing on governance, transparency, and digital technologies.
