In late July 2026 the Egyptian Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research began a practical outreach to prospective university students, issuing infographics that detail each public university’s colleges and programmes and publishing maps of campus computer‑lab locations. The materials aim to help secondary‑school students and their parents navigate the electronic admission coordination for the 2026‑2027 academic year and to ensure reliance on official information sources.

A few days later the ministry opened the ninth Edugate 2026 forum in Cairo, gathering more than 120 universities from 25 countries. Under the theme “Towards Future Universities,” officials highlighted rapid advances in artificial intelligence, digital transformation and biotechnology, and called for stronger links between education and labour‑market needs. Minister Abdulaziz Qansowa outlined plans to expand AI‑focused programmes, dual degrees and industry partnerships, signalling a shift from procedural guidance to strategic reform of Egypt’s higher‑education system.
