The series utilizes a multi-protagonist approach, focusing on eight main characters including doctors, nurses, and drivers. Renowned actress Fernanda Montenegro makes a special appearance as Dona Laura, the mother of the unit’s chief physician, portraying an elderly woman facing a serious degenerative disease. The production previously received the ‘Studio Babelsberg Production Excellence Award’ at the Berlinale Series Market.
