Overview

Italian authorities and local governments have initiated various operations focused on urban decorum, security, and redevelopment across different cities.

In San Berillo, a joint operation by the State Police and waste management services targeted drug use and urban decay. This effort resulted in the seizure of 250 grams of narcotics, the identification of five individuals with irregular residency status, and the removal of abandoned vehicles and waste.

In other regions, efforts have shifted toward infrastructure and large-scale security interventions. Security efforts have recently expanded in Rome through large-scale, coordinated interforce operations. In the San Basilio and Tiburtina areas, including Metro B stations Ponte Mammolo and Rebibbia, a joint effort by the Polizia di Stato, Polizia Locale, Guardia di Finanza, and Ama spa targeted crime prevention and urban cleanup. This led to several arrests, including a 48-year-old man for a pharmacy robbery, a 31-year-old for cocaine possession, and individuals for theft and receiving stolen goods. Authorities also recovered a stolen van and intercepted three individuals in a vehicle with diplomatic plates inconsistent with their nationality.

Further operations in central Rome targeted the axis between Termini station and the Esquilino and Viminale districts. This integrated strategy, involving police, Guardia di Finanza, and social services, identified over 200 people. The intervention focused on combating irregular immigration, commercial illegalities, and urban decay, resulting in four deportation orders and the closure of two local businesses.
