In Emilia-Romagna, results remain polarized. In Reggio Emilia and Modena, Confcooperative Terre d’Emilia reported a 10.9% increase in grape delivery compared to 2025, featuring high sugar levels. Conversely, the province of Ravenna faces severe drought, with Coldiretti estimating production drops of 15% to 20%, and losses reaching 40% to 50% in hillside vineyards. In the Primitivo di Manduria and Maremma regions, yields have also seen significant reductions.

Economic and structural pressures are mounting. Italian nursery associations, including MIVA, are calling for a reallocation of OCM wine funds to support the restructuring and reconversion of vineyards with climate-adapted varieties. Meanwhile, the Federazione italiana vignaioli indipendenti (Fivi) is organizing the ‘Essere Vignaioli’ event from October 19 to 25 to showcase independent producers. In Germany, the VDP association reports that despite lower yields and localized hailstorm losses, grapes remain healthy and mature.
