Regarding the Cauvery water-sharing dispute, tensions have escalated as Tamil Nadu approached the Supreme Court, alleging a shortfall of 20 TMC of water. Karnataka maintains it will only release water if reservoir inflows allow, noting that rainfall has ceased.
