Adding to the friction, the Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) has expressed support for the CPI. Senior IUML leader and former MLA K. P. A. Majeed criticized Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, alleging he treats smaller LDF allies as subordinates. Majeed argued that the CPI has been “systematically marginalized” within the coalition, noting that key organizational roles remain dominated by the CPM despite the CPI’s historical contributions to the state.
