Mental health awareness events in Greece

In observance of World Mental Health Day, mental health organizations in Greece held various commemorative and awareness events.

In Larissa, the Thessaly Mental Health Care and Rehabilitation Company (THESYPYPA) celebrated its 35th anniversary. Officials, including MP Maximos Charakopoulos and MP Evangelia Liakouli, attended the event to honor the organization’s role in deinstitutionalization and social inclusion. Educational efforts also continued in Kozani, where students at the Leukovrysi Primary School used crafts and games to learn how stress affects the body and mind. Looking ahead, Rhodes is scheduled to host the 2nd Symposium for World Mental Health on October 22 and 23, 2026, featuring keynote speeches from specialists and representatives from organizations such as Make-A-Wish Greece and the Rhodes Medical Association.
