Set in the Hajin Exclusion Zone, the mode is described as an action-oriented extraction shooter featuring an open-world environment with dynamic weather and over 60 points of interest. Players will utilize a Forward Operating Base (FOB) to manage progression, equipment, and supplies. The FOB includes features such as a 3D printer for crafting, a Gunsmith, and various vendors. The mode includes a 70-level progression system and a persistent economy involving cash and crafting materials. Gameplay involves balancing exploration with the risk of losing items upon death, featuring increased AI density, including Lieutenants and Commanders. New information indicates the mode will also feature a bounty system where players can act as ‘Hunters’ or ‘Killers’ in PvP encounters. A Bounty Leaderboard system, accessible via the FOB, tracks the top 50 ‘Most Wanted Operators’ and the top 50 ‘Bounty Hunters’. The Most Wanted status, earned by eliminating rivals, can be cleared if a player dies without extracting. Additionally, players can locate five fixed lieutenant towers on the Hajin map, marked on the Tac-Map with orange-brown icons, to complete specific objectives.
