Pokémon seasonal Halloween events

Overview

Various Pokémon titles have announced seasonal Halloween events for late 2026. Pokémon Pokopia launched its ‘Pumpkaboo’s Sweet Surprises’ event on October 17, which runs until November 1. Players can use a ‘Camouflage mechanic’ to disguise themselves as favorite items or habitat components to collect ‘Pumpkin Candy’. This candy can be traded at the Pokémon Center for midnight festival-themed furniture and decorations, which can also be used to create habitats to attract and befriend Gourgeist. The developer previously noted that a second expansion focusing on cosmetic accessories is expected by the end of 2026. Pokémon Sleep will host a Sleep Day event from October 25 to October 28, offering increased Zzz Power and sleep points, with a peak on the full moon night. This is followed by its ‘Double Candy Research’ event from October 26 to November 2. The event features increased encounter rates for Ghost-type Pokémon on Gretapuse Island and introduces Misdreavus, Mismagius, Feuforêve, and Magirêve, alongside a special Eevee wearing a Halloween hat. Players can earn double the usual amount of candies from their first sleep research each day between October 26 and October 30, with candy gains tripled on October 31 and November 1. Additional gameplay bonuses include Ghost-type helper Pokémon providing an extra ingredient, a 1.25x increased chance of triggering main skills, and a three-level boost to those skills. Pokémon GO will participate in the seasonal celebrations from October 27 to November 1. This event includes themed encounters with Pikachu in a hat and cape, Zubat in a top hat, and Sinistea with a bow. A special research task offers six Rare Candies and a chance to encounter a Shiny Pikachu. Players can utilize a Halloween GO Pass, with a free version offering doubled Candy and Stardust at specific milestones and a Deluxe version providing triple bonuses.
