The ministers reviewed the progress of the Joint Action Plan 2024-28, focusing on emerging cooperation in defense industries, energy security, and the exchange of classified information.
In September 2026, the partnership moved toward operationalization through a Joint Working Group meeting in New Delhi. Co-chaired by India’s Secretary of Defence Production Sanjeev Kumar and Poland’s Deputy Minister Magdalena Sobkowiak-Czarnecka, the meeting focused on strengthening institutional, defense, and defense-industrial cooperation. This follows a September 4 meeting in Warsaw between Minister Jaishankar and Minister Sikorski, which covered sectors including space, AI, semiconductors, and energy. Both nations continue to work toward a bilateral trade target of USD 10 billion, building on the USD 6.3 billion achieved previously.
