Polish prosecutions of YouTubers for child offenses

Overview

In July 2026, Polish authorities intensified legal action against online personalities accused of sexual crimes involving minors. A regional court in Ostrołęka sentenced fraudster Kamil C. to two years in prison for impersonating a lawyer, while in a separate case, the District Prosecutor's Office in Lublin charged YouTuber Wojciech K. (known as “Vojtaz”) with child-pornography offenses involving a 13-year-old girl via Minecraft-related videos. Later that month, the UK High Court upheld the extradition of dual British-Polish YouTube creator Stuart Kluz-Burton (“Stuu”) to Poland. He faces four charges of sexual activity with girls under 15 and inducing minors to consume alcohol, each carrying up to 12 years imprisonment. The court rejected claims that the Polish judge issuing the warrant was under political pressure during the “Pandora Gate” scandal. By mid-August 2026, the extradition process was completed. Stuart Kluz-Burton arrived at Warsaw Chopin Airport via a commercial flight and was immediately taken into custody by Polish authorities. The Warsaw District Prosecutor's Office has specifically charged him with sexual offenses against girls under the age of 15, allegedly occurring in the summer of 2015 and August 2018, as well as encouraging minors to consume alcohol. Following his interrogation on August 19, 2026, Kluz-Burton denied the allegations and declined to provide a statement until he can review the full body of evidence. Prosecutor Piotr Antoni Skiba noted that while some related proceedings in the Warsaw district were dismissed due to insufficient documentation, other evidence has been separated for distinct proceedings. The Warsaw-Mokotów District Court has since ordered that Kluz-Burton remain in temporary arrest for one month, with Judge Michał Kusiak citing the risk of tampering with evidence as a primary reason. The suspect is scheduled to undergo forensic psychiatric and sexological examinations as part of the ongoing investigation.
