Premios Juventud 2026 held in Marbella, Spain

Overview

The 23rd annual Premios Juventud awards ceremony took place on September 3, 2026, at the Starlite Marbella in Spain. This edition marked a historic milestone as the first time in the event's 23-year history that the ceremony was held in Europe, moving away from its traditional locations in the Americas.

Produced by TelevisaUnivision in a strategic alliance with Starlite, the gala aimed to bridge the music and audiovisual industries between Europe and the Americas. The event featured over 200 nominees across 50 categories. Major winners included Shakira, who secured three awards including Best Female Artist, an OMG Collaboration for ‘Dai Dai’ with Burna Boy, and Best Pop Song for ‘Bésame’ with Alejandro Sanz. Bad Bunny won Best Male Artist and Best Tour for his ‘Debí tirar más fotos world tour’, though he was absent from the live event. Aitana also earned three awards, including Best Pop Album for ‘Cuarto Azul’. Romeo Santos and Prince Royce each received three awards for their collaborative project ‘Better Late Than Never’.

Following the ceremony, TelevisaUnivision reported that the event reached 10 million viewers across the United States, Mexico, and Spain, with audiences in over 150 countries. In the U.S., the transmission reached 4.3 million viewers, a 7% increase from 2025, making it the top-rated prime-time show among Hispanics. Digital engagement was notably high, with ‘PJ Fest’ programming generating 673 million interactions and the ceremony recording 103.1 million video views, doubling the previous year's performance.
