Uruguayan cyclist Eric Antonio Fagúndez Lima, representing Burgos-Burpellet-BH, secured the victory after a dramatic photo finish in Naples. Fagúndez Lima narrowly defeated France’s Alexandre Delettre of TotalEnergies in a sprint where the two riders reportedly touched, with the margin of victory described as “just a few millimeters.” Ukraine’s Andrii Ponomar completed the podium in third place, while Colombia’s Einer Rubio finished fourth.

The decisive phase of the race followed the climb at Agerola, which triggered the formation of a four-man breakaway consisting of Fagúndez Lima, Delettre, Ponomar, and Rubio. The route traversed the provinces of Caserta, Benevento, Avellino, Salerno, and Naples, passing through landscapes such as Sannio, Irpinia, and the Amalfi Coast. Among the top Italian finishers were Alessandro Fancellu in sixth and Andrea Vendrame in seventh.

While the event provided regional visibility for the Campania Region, it caused substantial traffic disruptions. Significant road closures and diversions were implemented in Benevento, Naples, and Castellammare di Stabia to accommodate the race course.
