Severe weather across Brazil has caused significant destruction, particularly in São Paulo and Minas Gerais. In São Paulo, September became the wettest month since 1943, with the capital recording 253.8 mm of rain by mid-month. This extreme precipitation resulted in at least three deaths, two missing persons, and states of emergency in six cities, including Eldorado and Piracaia. In Montes Claros, storm damage to the Secundino Tavares State School forced the relocation of voting sites.

A major storm on October 25 caused massive power outages in Minas Gerais, leaving approximately 636,000 customers without electricity. The energy company Cemig described the event as one of the most severe in its 74-year history. The outages affected 349 voting locations, prompting concerns from the Regional Electoral Court regarding the transport of ballot boxes and the counting process.

Weather instability has also impacted the South, with Rio Grande do Sul facing high alerts for intense storms and wind gusts exceeding 100 km/h driven by an extratropical cyclone.
