The city is also reviewing pedestrian environments through digital mapping of sidewalks and improved school commuting routes.

As of mid-September, local governments in Changhua and Yunlin counties have launched pop-up events to promote safety awareness. In Changhua, an event at the Tengshan Trail in Yuanlin City highlighted a downward trend in accidents, including an 18% decrease in A1 accidents and a 6% reduction in monthly fatalities compared to the previous year. In Yunlin, an event at the Huwei Baiwu Street Night Market focused on promoting new regulations regarding elderly driver license renewals.

Despite these localized successes, debate persists regarding the allocation of resources. Critics argue that the government should prioritize structural road improvements—such as addressing poor signaling and blind spots—and driver training reforms over public awareness slogans and promotional campaigns.
