In Istanbul, the goal is to ensure all wastewater discharged into the Marmara Sea undergoes advanced biological treatment by expanding the capacity of the Ambarlı plant.

In the capital, the Ankara Metropolitan Municipality has secured approximately $500 million in international financing for projects aligned with the 2054 Ankara Master Plan. These investments include expanding the capacity of the Ankara Central (Tatlar) Wastewater Treatment Plant, developing drinking water supplies in several surrounding regions, and implementing measures to reduce water loss and leakage throughout the metropolitan area.
