TV Globo telenovela programming updates

TV Globo has announced several new telenovela productions for its upcoming programming lineup. Additionally, Maisa Silva has been cast as the protagonist in the 6 p.m. period drama “Tempos de Glória,” set in the 1940s, which depicts a woman’s struggle to play football during an era when the sport was legally prohibited for women in Brazil.

Looking toward the 2027-2028 period, the network has approved new projects for its flagship 9 p.m. time slot. This includes a scheduled continuation of “Avenida Brasil” in early 2027 and a new telenovela by Aguinaldo Silva. Furthermore, author Rosane Svartman has been greenlit to develop her first production for the 9 p.m. slot, with a projected premiere in mid-2028.
