Instead, the storm is expected to pass near Naha, Japan, between Sunday and Monday. Separately, weather authorities noted that while conditions remain stable through next Wednesday, an intensifying northeast monsoon starting October 1 may bring rain to northern and eastern regions. Additionally, annual high tides may cause seawater incursion in low-lying coastal areas from New Taipei to Changhua and in Penghu.
