During that period, 159 attacks on humans and 42 attacks on dogs were recorded, with the highest frequency of sightings occurring in the Białołęka and Wawra districts. Regarding the implementation of the Sejmik resolution, Energy Minister Miłosz Motyka emphasized that local governments should make population management decisions in cooperation with hunters to ensure resident safety. The resolution does not mandate specific quotas but provides the legal framework for addressing animals that threaten public safety while navigating restrictions imposed by African Swine Fever (ASF) concerns. Following the resolution, controversy has emerged regarding the lack of a fixed numerical limit on culling. Animal rights organizations have raised objections, citing a potential lack of compliance with animal protection laws and a consultation process that lasted only 11 days.
