During its 306th regular session, the Yongin Special City Council officially approved the construction plan for the center, marking a successful fourth attempt at passage. Located at the Yongin Mireu Stadium temporary parking site in Samga-dong, the facility will feature a 50-meter, 10-lane swimming pool with over 2,000 seats. The approved design includes an expanded dedicated disabled swimming area of 310 square meters. Following this approval, the city will proceed with feasibility studies and move toward the basic and detailed design phases.
