Gauthier, 22, enters the new deal following a breakout campaign in which he recorded 41 goals and 69 points in 76 games, contributing to the Ducks’ first playoff appearance since 2018. Under the new terms, Gauthier’s $13.5 million AAV is the second-highest on the Ducks roster, surpassed only by Leo Carlsson’s $18 million annual salary.

General Manager Pat Verbeek characterized Gauthier as a “major part of our young core” and expressed expectations that the winger will develop into an elite NHL star. As the organization prepares for the 2026-27 season, the Ducks are scheduled to begin training camp this week, featuring public practices at Great Park Ice in Irvine.
