The maintenance, which included milling, repaving, and lighting improvements, affected approximately 900 flights. While 360 flights were rescheduled, 540 were transferred to Ezeiza International Airport, increasing Ezeiza’s daily movements from 530 to approximately 940. Aerolíneas Argentinas reported that 92% of affected passengers were successfully relocated, while JetSmart provided alternatives through Ezeiza and regional airports in Rosario and Córdoba.

The maintenance caused significant disruptions to regional connectivity; notably, Las Termas de Río Hondo International Airport suspended all scheduled operations for Thursday, August 27, due to the Aeroparque closure. Following the maintenance, Aeroparque Jorge Newbery resumed operations at 16:00 on Thursday, with a progressive return to normal schedules expected.
