In Lower Austria, the ÖVP remains the largest party at 35 percent, though this is a decrease from 39.9 percent in 2023. Individual standings show the ÖVP at 21 percent and the SPÖ at 15 percent. The Greens have reached 12 percent, while the KPÖ stands at 4 percent.

In direct preference polls for the role of Chancellor, FPÖ leader Herbert Kickl leads with 33 percent support, ahead of Christian Stocker at 14 percent and Leonore Gewessler at 8 percent. Commenting on right-wing electoral successes in Germany, Kickl described the momentum as an ‘unstoppable patriotic shift’ and suggested these dynamics serve as a signal for a similar movement within Austria.
