Japanese character merchandise rollout June‑August 2026
Entities: Uniqlo · SPY×FAMILY · Bandai · Naruhodō Ryūichi · Shueisha
Overview
The character‑themed rollout continued through July and August 2026, extending Uniqlo’s UT (Uniqlo T‑shirt) line with several high‑profile collaborations.
On 24 July the second Pokémon 30th‑anniversary UT collection debuted online, offering eight designs (four adult, four kids) at ¥1,990 and ¥990 respectively, available in a full size range.
A Mario Kart World UT series was announced on 23 July and launched on 10 August. The range includes men’s T‑shirts, kids’ T‑shirts and kids’ sweatshirts in four designs featuring Mario, Luigi, Bowser and game motifs, priced ¥1,990 for adult tees and kids’ sweatshirts and ¥990 for kids’ tees. Items are sold nationwide through Uniqlo stores and the brand’s online shop.
On 7 August Uniqlo released the third wave of its Shueisha 100‑year anniversary manga UT collection, adding T‑shirts themed after SPY×FAMILY, BLEACH, Yu‑Gi‑Oh! and two other titles, priced ¥1,990 and sized XS‑4XL.
Bandai introduced an Ace Attorney Tsumande Tsunagete mascot gashapon on 31 July, featuring ten capsule‑type figures (five characters in two variants) at ¥400 per pull, with shipping slated for late November.
These releases follow earlier June‑August character launches that included Chiikawa apparel, Ojamajo Doremi anniversary goods, Sanrio’s Dreamy Sweets Ghost House items, and Bandai’s Zootopia 2 gashapon, sustaining a steady flow of character‑themed products through August 2026.
