Corruption investigation at Universitas Jenderal Soedirman

The KPK has named six suspects: Sodiq, Prayogo, Sumanto, and three private parties identified as Dian Mulia Wardhana, Adhi Wiharto, and Mulyono (alias Nono). Evidence suggests approximately 73 student quotas were managed through illicit payments. The KPK has seized approximately 764 million rupiah in cash and bank balances. KPK Chairman Setyo Budiyanto noted that the independent selection mechanism is the “most vulnerable to irregularities.” Spokesperson Budi Prasetyo suggested such practices might not be isolated to Unsoed, urging institutions to implement systemic improvements to protect educational integrity. On September 14, 2026, Ahmad Sahroni, Vice Chairman of Commission III of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR), urged the KPK to expand its investigations into potential bribery within student admissions at other universities.
