Overview

In the season finale, the relationship between Anton and Paul Baker shifted from a legal arrangement for visa purposes to a genuine romantic connection, marked by a kiss. Co-creator Ben Kronengold stated that the characters are now ‘choosing each other.’ Actor Owen Thiele, who plays Anton, noted the significance of the storyline, highlighting the rarity of a Black, queer man leading a show with such a prominent emotional love story.

As of mid-September, the series has received critical acclaim, maintaining a 100% Tomatometer rating, though FX has not yet officially announced a renewal for a third season.
