Morocco is advancing large-scale hydraulic infrastructure and managing reservoir levels to mitigate climate-driven water scarcity. Regional distribution remains uneven. While the Sebou basin maintains high capacity and the Moulouya basin saw significant recent inflows—with the Mohammed V dam reaching 78.13%—disparities persist in the south. The Al Massira dam remains at 40% capacity, and the Todgha Dam reports a low fill rate of 9%. Additionally, new infrastructure in Sefrou is being developed to treat wastewater from olive oil production to protect the Sebou River.
