On 4 August 2026 heavy rains caused flooding, water accumulation, fallen trees and a downed power cable in Ramos Arizpe. Municipal authorities deployed Public Security, Civil Protection and firefighters to clear trash and branches from the Flores Castro bridge, remove a stranded vehicle on José María Morelos boulevard, and lift a tree that had fallen onto a taxi on Fidel Velázquez boulevard. Water levels receded at a residence on Melchor Ocampo street, and a fallen cable at the intersection of Melchor Ocampo and Gustavo Espinosa Mireles was cordoned off for safety.
