Shimano Fest 2026 and major cycling events in Brazil

Overview

The 16th edition of Shimano Fest has officially commenced at the Memorial da América Latina in São Paulo. As the largest bicycle festival in Latin America, the event is expected to attract over 50,000 visitors and generate more than R$ 76 million in business, featuring over 120 exhibitors representing approximately 350 national and international brands.

The initial phase of the festival is dedicated to B2B networking and professional development, including the inaugural Symposium on Active Mobility, Sport, Cycle Tourism, and Entrepreneurship, alongside technical Session Training Days. Industry players are showcasing new products such as OGGI Bikes' Potenza Pro e-MTB, Caloi's Elite Carbon FS Pro, and new Shimano DURA-ACE wheelsets and DEORE groupsets. The festival will open to the general public during the weekend, featuring various competitions and inclusive sporting activities.

Running alongside these festivities are major cycling competitions. The Brasil Ride event is being held in Pirenópolis, Goiás, from August 21 to 23, featuring MTB Pro, E-Bike Pro, and MTB Sport categories on routes up to 70 kilometers. Simultaneously, the inaugural ‘Giro d’Italia Ride Like a Pro Brasil’ is set to debut in São Paulo on August 23. This 65-kilometre amateur race is expected to host over 5,000 cyclists, passing landmarks such as Pacaembu Stadium and the Ipiranga Museum. Mitsubishi Motors is serving as a primary sponsor for both the Giro d’Italia and Brasil Ride events, providing vehicle displays and recovery areas for athletes.
