The BJP and Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) have criticized these remarks, with BJP spokespersons labeling them as “profoundly ridiculous” and “mental bankruptcy.” Recently, Chief Minister Reddy expanded his political opposition to the central government, condemning the arrest of senior Congress leaders as an “assault on democracy.”
