Vinhomes sustainable urban development in Vietnam
Overview
Vinhomes, Vietnam’s largest listed real estate developer, is advancing a nature-positive and sustainable urban development model by integrating Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles across its project lifecycles. The company, which reported record 2025 revenue of VND 183.1 trillion (US$6.94 billion), manages a land bank exceeding 295 million m² and serves approximately 650,000 residents.
Key flagship projects include Vinhomes Green Paradise in Can Gio, a 2,870-hectare smart ecological area in southern Ho Chi Minh City featuring a low construction density of 17.7% and AI-IoT technology for monitoring air quality, traffic, and security. The project is described as a coastal mega-development utilizing ecological restoration. Another major project, Vinhomes Global Gate in Ha Long, is designed to complement the UNESCO-listed Ha Long Bay.
To meet global investor demand for resilient assets, Vinhomes employs advanced environmental management protocols, including real-time emissions tracking, dust-suppression systems, and wastewater treatment. Social governance efforts focus on workforce technical training and strict occupational safety standards.
In the renewable energy sector, Envision Energy and REE Energy are progressing with the 200 MW Phu Cuong 1A/1B near-shore wind project. The project will utilize 25 EN-226/8.X turbines, with deliveries starting in Q2 2027 and a scheduled grid connection by October 2027. Edward Hou, Senior Vice President of Envision’s Asia-Pacific region, noted the project demonstrates how “technology can be matched to local resources and long-term system needs.”
