In parallel, DPP has launched a public tender to acquire up to 200 new twelve‑metre buses over the next five years, split between mild‑hybrid diesel and conventional diesel models, at an estimated cost of 1.58 billion CZK. The buses will feature low‑floor entry, full‑width climate control, modern passenger‑information systems, wheelchair spaces and driver‑assist cameras. A separate contract secures ten classic 12‑metre SOR Libchavy buses with air‑conditioning and anti‑collision systems. Both procurements are part of a wider fleet modernisation that also includes ongoing electric‑bus purchases and the development of charging infrastructure, aiming to replace aging vehicles and improve accessibility for passengers with reduced mobility.
